The Top Saddlery and Bush Boutique is a family owned Saddlery, Country and Western store situated in Katherine, right in the heart of the "Top End" of Australia's north.
Our mission is to provide "Quality Gear for the Real Outback". We aim to provide prompt, personalised and reliable service to our customers whether they be tourists, locals or remote customers.
The Saddlery stocks a wide range of Saddles and Tack. Our Saddlers - Geoff Newton and his assistant Kati also make Custom Made Western Saddles and Stock Saddles including the very popular Fender Saddles, as well as work belts and straps essential for Cattle station work.
The Bush Boutique has a wide range of clothing, footwear and accessories suitable to outfit the whole family for a day working on the land, competing in a Camp Draft or a trip to town. All our products are carefully chosen so that they are fit for purpose and provide good value for money.
In addition to country clothing we also supply work wear and boots suitable for trades and industry, and a rapid response embroidery service.
The Top Saddlery and Bush Boutique have been an important part of the Katherine business community for quite a few years. Geoff & Julie Newton opened their Saddlery business, Geoff Newton Saddlery, in 1991, moving to a retail shop on the Katherine main street in 1993. When first opened, the business primarily repaired and made saddles, and horse gear. Since then the business has expanded, changed its name to The Top Saddlery and moved to its prime location in the middle of Katherine Terrace. In 2009 the business was further expanded to incorporate the Bush Boutique. Geoff and Julie currently have 6 other staff members and all are kept busy working between the saddlery and embroidery workshops, the retail shop and online store. The business prides itself on the strength and longevity of its relationship with the pastoral industry, it's strong connections with remote Aboriginal communities and it's committment to advocating for regional and remote businesses.
